1. Introduction
SmartLine BD is a secure IoT device controller application that allows users to manage smart home hardware devices (including ESP32-based controllers) installed and maintained by SmartLine BD. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring full transparency about how your data is used.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide our services:
Phone Number & Full Name — For account creation, identity verification, and device authentication
Email Address — Collected during account registration for login authentication, session management, and account recovery via Firebase Authentication
Device State Data — Smart device parameters (pump status, timer settings, fan speed, etc.) stored securely in Firebase Realtime Database under your private UID path
Service Credit Balance — A coin-based service credit counter is maintained in the cloud to track your active subscription status
Device Identifier — A unique device ID is stored to associate your registered session with your authorized hardware setup
Local Configuration — Database URLs and API settings stored only on your device (SharedPreferences). We never store these on intermediate servers.
3. Service Verification
SmartLine BD operates on a hardware service subscription model. Users who have an active service agreement with SmartLine BD can use the application. Service status is verified securely through our system. No payments are processed through this app. Service charges are handled separately and manually between the user and SmartLine BD.
4. No Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell, share, rent, or lease your personal information, phone number, email address, or device data to any third party, advertiser, or analytics provider.
5. Android Permissions
INTERNET — Required for real-time device synchronization
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — Required to detect connectivity and enable offline mode
Local Biometrics (Optional) — Fingerprint or face recognition is processed entirely on your device through the Android Keystore system. We never store, read, or upload your biometric data.
We do not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, or location.
6. Data Security
All data transmitted between the app and our database uses secure SSL/HTTPS encryption. Your account data is stored under your private UID path in Firebase Realtime Database, which is inaccessible to other users. We recommend users maintain secure Firebase rules for their device profiles.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data only while your service agreement is active. Upon account deletion request, all personal data including your name, phone number, email address, device identifier, and device configurations are permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
SmartLine BD is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
9. Your Right to Data Deletion
You have full control over your data:
Logout anytime from the Settings screen inside the app to immediately clear all local data from your device.
For permanent deletion — Email us at ahadkhan097@gmail.com with your registered phone number to request complete removal of your account and all associated data from our cloud systems. Requests are processed within 30 days.
This privacy policy applies to the SmartLineBD app for mobile devices, together with any related services operated by SmartLineBD (collectively, the "Application"). SmartLineBD is hereby referred to as the "Service Provider".
Information Collection and Use
The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include information such as

The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:

Opt-Out Rights
You can stop further collection of information from your mobile device by uninstalling the Application. Uninstalling will stop the Application from collecting data from your device, but it does not automatically delete information that has already been transmitted to the Service Provider or to third parties.

Data Retention Policy
The Service Provider retains personal data based on its necessity for the stated purposes:

- Aggregated and Anonymized Data: Retained indefinitely as it no longer identifies you
- Data required for legal compliance: Retained as long as required by applicable law
You may request deletion of your personal data, subject to any legal obligation to retain it. Children
The Application is not intended for children under 16 years of age, or such higher age as required by applicable law. The Service Provider does not knowingly solicit data from children or market the Application to them.
Where parental or guardian consent is required under applicable law, the Application is not intended for use without that consent. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 16 years of age in violation of applicable law. In the event the Service Provider discovers that a child has provided personal information, the Service Provider will immediately delete this from their servers.
